From Foundation Executive Director, Sid Johnston:
On behalf of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, I wish you a Happy New Year. January is synonymous with new beginnings. Here at the Foundation office, we have a few beginnings to share with you.
This month, we welcome Erin Cooper to the Foundation office as the new Executive Assistant. She brings with her an innovative and forward-thinking drive in non-profit work, recently serving as the Director of Human Resources & Finance at a prominent church in Benbrook, Texas. Motivated by excellence she has a heart to honor and serve others so they can move forward in their ministry.
Also new around the Foundation is our website FMCFoundation.org. We spent the last few months hard at work to provide you with a site that’s friendlier to navigate, more informative, and easier on the eyes. I invite you to visit us today at FMCFoundation.org and see for yourself the exciting update.
Some things haven’t changed, however, as we begin the Foundation’s 55th year in operation. The mission of the Foundation continues to be to solicit, receive, and preserve gifts to support the ministries and mission of First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth. This year, as in every year since our beginning in 1964, we strive for careful and prayerful stewardship to support, benefit, and be responsive to the needs of the church community.
